The route check is free and needs no account. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell what we collect.
Free use: everything stays on your device
Routes you check, pet details, dates and which requirements you've stamped stay in your browser — in its storage, and in the page address so a route link can be shared. We don't save them on our server. Clear your browser data and they're gone.
Saved plans and paid plans: what we store
When you sign in to save a plan or buy a personal plan or membership, we store on our server:
- your email address, used for sign-in links and reminders;
- your saved routes, pet details (animal, breed and any name you give a plan) and key dates (microchip, rabies, arrival);
- what you bought, when, and whether it is paid, refunded or renewing — card details are handled by Stripe, never by us.
Payments go through Stripe, which sells the plans on our behalf as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, charges VAT or sales tax where it applies and sends your receipts under its own privacy policy. Buying needs no account first: Stripe asks for your email on its page and passes it to us, and we open an account for that address, so the plan can be opened again later with a one-time link. If you are signed in when you buy, we give Stripe your email address so the receipt reaches you. Deleting your account cancels a membership that would renew; Stripe keeps the payment records the law requires.
You can delete a plan or your whole account from My plans at any time. Deleted data is removed within 30 days, including backups.
Signing in
We use email magic links — no passwords. A sign-in link works once and expires after 15 minutes. While you're signed in, one cookie keeps your session.
Your departure country
We guess the “From” country from your browser's language setting. We don't use GPS or look up your IP address for this. Once you pick a country or an animal on any page, this browser remembers the pick (like the theme) so the other pages start from it; it never leaves your device.
What else we receive
Rule-change reports, trip reports, plan requests, partner requests and “notify me” emails contain what you type in the form, plus the photo if you add one to a trip report. We use it only to reply, verify a rule, publish a trip report you agreed to share (a person reads it first, and your email is never published) or send the one email you asked for. Reports and plan requests are deleted after 12 months.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count page views and popular routes. It sets cookies and sends Google your IP address and browser details; we don't send it your email or anything you type in a form, and we don't use it for advertising. Block it with any content blocker or Google's opt-out add-on.
Your rights
Ask for a copy of anything we hold about you, or for it to be deleted, at privacy (at) entry.pet. We reply within 30 days.

entry.pet is a guide, not legal advice. Always confirm with the destination's official authority and your airline before travelling. Plans are refundable within 14 days if unused.
