Rabies neutralising antibody titer of at least 0.5 IU/ml, on a blood sample taken by an authorised vet at least 30 days after the last rabies vaccination, tested in an EU-approved laboratory; carry the original report. - Customs guide — the passenger allowance covers only cats, dogs and birds, which may only be brought with the passenger; they may enter only after the veterinary check at the air, land or sea border gate. — Gümrük Rehberi — T.C. Ticaret Bakanlığı (Ministry of Trade)
- Entry is allowed only after the veterinary check is completed (customs guide). — Gümrük Rehberi — T.C. Ticaret Bakanlığı (Ministry of Trade)
- Official sources differ on how the titer wait is counted. The regulation, the Trabzon VSKN page (2025) and the Tokyo embassy count 3 months from the blood sample; Istanbul Airport (and identical Ankara Esenboğa) VSKN count 90 days from the test result for a first test. The later date is the safe one. — İstanbul Havalimanı Veteriner Sınır Kontrol Noktası Müdürlüğü, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry
- The Trabzon VSKN counts the 3 months from the blood-sample date and gives a worked example (vaccination day = day 0). — Trabzon Limanı Veteriner Sınır Kontrol Noktası Müdürlüğü, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry

- The certificate model has 'tick treatment' and 'Echinococcus treatment' sections marked 'when required'; no Turkish source consulted requires either for entry.
- Preparation time 18 weeks: microchip + rabies vaccine on day 0 → blood sample ≥30 days later → entry ≥3 months after the sample (≈ day 122). If the Istanbul Airport reading (90 days from the test result) is applied, add the laboratory turnaround time. Health certificate in the last 2 days before departure.
