Leaving South Africa with the pet
- Before taking a pet out of South Africa, get the veterinary import permit for its return. Depending on where it went, it may have to go into quarantine at Kempton Park or Cape Town when it comes back.
- Dogs going on a trip of up to 10 days to a country without South African quarantine can use the recreational permit: no blood tests on return.
